This knife was forged in a workshop with Garrick at Ruskin Mill, and brought to me in need of having a handle fitted and to have a sheath made.

The handle has been made in Oak, and designed to fit around the knife and shaped to fit in the hand. It has been secured in place with bronze rivets, and then sanded to a fine smooth finish, and treated with linseed oil.

The sheath has been made from 3mm veg tanned hide, which was wet-formed around the knife to give a snug fitting that would hold the knife securely once complete. Once dry, an Oak leaf design was marked and tooled in, and then different stains used to add colour, followed with a waterproof / sealant.

It has been lined inside with calf skin, then hand stitched together, and secured at the mouth with a single rivet.
