This small belt and pouch was made in thin veg-tanned leather, and only measures approx. 4” wide. Done in a Viking style for re-enactment, it has two panels with bird motifs; whilst such motifs can be seen in many places, these were drawn up specifically for this pouch, rather than copied from elsewhere.

The design was hand tooled in, and belt loops were sewn in place as was the toggle-loop. Hand-stitching has been used throughout. The pouch was stained with a tan colour, and finished with dubbin.

A toggle was made from yew, and secured using Viking-period reproduction linen thread.
